Behind the Scenes: A Kitchen Transformed

At I Rescued Patisserie & Bakery, our home kitchen tells a story of transformation and determination. As we continue to grow and bring you more of the baked goods you love, we made the decision to expand our kitchen space—even if it meant saying goodbye to our living room! This change wasn’t just about increasing functionality and production; it was about chasing our dreams, crafting every pastry and loaf with care, and ensuring that every bite is filled with purpose.

The Real Bosses: Inspirations in Fur

Meet Nikko, one of the furry inspirations behind our bakery’s name. Adopted at just 11 weeks old, Nikko came to us with challenges, including nipping tendencies and bad habits. Through patience, research, and a lot of love, we learned how to meet his unique needs as a pittie parent. Over the years, Nikko has grown into a playful, emotional, and loyal companion. Whether he’s showing off adorable habits learned from his chocolate lab sister, Penny, or keeping his current “annoyed” but beloved sister Nori young at heart, Nikko is a source of endless joy.

As Nikko’s 4th birthday approaches on April 27, 2025, we reflect on how much he’s taught us about understanding, compassion, and resilience. We take these lessons to heart in everything we do—especially when it comes to supporting causes that help animals in need, just like Nikko once was.

Baking with Purpose: Supporting Animal Rescues

Our commitment to making a difference extends beyond our kitchen. Thanks to your support, we’ve raised a total of $411 in cash and $45 in wishlist donations for local rescues like Winnebago, Noah’s, PAWS, and Norm’s Piggy Pen. These contributions have helped provide supplies, medical care, and shelter to animals in need.

One organization close to our hearts is Norm’s Piggy Pen. Their mission of helping small mammals find loving homes aligns perfectly with our values. From partnering with shelters to assisting abandoned and neglected animals, their work is inspiring.

And speaking of inspiration, we’re thrilled to share that Annabelle, their longest-stay resident, has finally been adopted! Congratulations to Annabelle and her new family for giving her the loving home she’s always deserved.
