At I Rescued Patisserie & Bakery, we love celebrating and supporting organizations that make a difference in our community. This month, we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary and share some exciting news about their events, the grand opening of their clinic, and a special furry friend named Raven.
Noah’s Ark: A Legacy of Love and Compassion
Founded on April 30, 1978, by a dedicated group of Rockford residents, Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary has been a beacon of hope for animals in need. Over the years, they’ve provided care, shelter, and love to over 31,000 animals. In 2023 alone, they helped 1,110 dogs and cats find forever homes, spayed or neutered over 1,200 feral cats, and provided veterinary care to 500+ pets through their low-income programs.
Their incredible efforts don’t stop there. With their Noah’s Vision Quest campaign, they’re raising funds for a new x-ray machine to enhance medical care for both shelter animals and community pets. It’s inspiring to see their unwavering dedication to improving the lives of animals.
Grand Opening of Noah’s Ark Animal Clinic
Mark your calendars! On Sunday, March 23, 2025, Noah’s Ark is hosting the much-awaited grand opening of their new clinic at 321 N 4th St., Rockford. Though the facility has been operational since 2020, this is the celebration the community has been waiting for.
Join them at 1:30 PM for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a Kitten Shower from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Enjoy games, raffles, refreshments, and tours of their state-of-the-art 7,000 sq. ft. facility. Attendees are encouraged to bring items from their Kitten Season Wish List, such as kitten milk replacer, bottles, blankets, and more, to support the 400+ kittens expected this season. If you can't attend, donations via their Amazon wish list are welcome.
Bark & Wine Gala: A Night to Remember
On Saturday, April 12, 2025, Noah’s Ark will host their 16th Annual Bark & Wine Gala at the Tebala Event Center. The event will feature a delicious meal from Mary’s Market, a wine tasting by Lino’s, raffles, silent auctions, and games—all in support of providing medical care and shelter to homeless animals.
Tickets start at $50 for singles and are available for purchase online, by phone, or in person. Whether you're a long-time supporter or new to Noah’s Ark, this gala promises to be a night filled with fun and philanthropy.

This month, we’re proud to sponsor Raven, a 4-year-old Pitbull mix with a heartwarming story. Despite life’s challenges, Raven remains a loving and loyal companion. She’s smart, loves learning new tricks, and is ready to find her forever home.
